Kaye's
BIO
Kaye Cook is
the president of Cook Consultants (1991) which specializes in educating,
motivating and advising clients toward personal and professional
excellence during times of career or organizational change.
Her
life as an Army brat and Navy spouse has provided an excellent training
ground to analyze and experience the effects of change at both individual
and organizational levels. One of her main challenges at the beginning
of her career was how to sell her experiences in a business world
that valued career continuity. She says, "It is nice that functions
and core competencies came into vogue during the mid-1990s, because
they better describe my life experiences."
Kaye
is a Human Resource Management and Development person by her gifts,
skills and education. Her competencies include Personal and Professional
Development through career counseling/coaching; training and team
building; Executive Training, Coaching and Recruiting; and facilitating
organizational change through strategic planning, team building
and coaching.
She
has worked for/with the Private Sector; Non-Profits; County, State
and Federal Governments and in the area of Volunteer Management.
Additionally, she has started-up and/or run 17 organizations including
Cook Consultants, The Military Spouse Business and Professional
Association, a bread baking company, a local office for Spouse Employment,
a consortium of business owners, a neighborhood group "The
Working Women's Night", District Commissioner for USA Girl
Scouting in Japan and several community interest groups in the areas
of tennis and personal fitness.
She
has a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management and Development.
She is certified in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (90 hours of Training),
MBTI STEP II, and is also nationally certified in the MBTI. She
has attended qualifying workshops for the Self-Directed Search,
Strong Interest Inventory, FIRO-B, Campbell Interest Skills Survey,
and Campbell Organization and Leadership Instruments (24 hours)
and William Bridges' Leading Organizational Transistions (32 hours).
Additionally she has 185 hours of training in Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
